Purpose Statement
The job of Maintenance Craftsperson is done for the purpose/s of maintaining facilities for students, staff and public in safe operating condition; maintaining a preventive maintenance program; and assisting other personnel in performing skilled and semi-skilled maintenance to resolve immediate operational and/or safety concerns.
The job of Equipment Operator is done for the purpose/s of operating heavy equipment in the installation and/or repair of underground systems; preparing and/or maintaining a variety of ground surfaces; repairing asphalt drives and parking lots, irrigation/water lines, etc.; and assisting other trades personnel as required.
